ATK-XCOM V3.0 Serial Port Debugging Assistant

To aid developers in debugging iBodyinfo BIA modules, we recommend the powerful third-party Serial Port Debugging Tool, ATK-XCOM v3.0. This guide provides a download link, feature overview, and instructions to help you streamline your project development and debugging workflow.

To help developers efficiently handle data transmission and status monitoring while integrating and debugging iBodyinfo BIA measurement modules, we recommend a powerful third-party Serial Port Debugging ToolATK-XCOM V3.0. With its rich features, stable performance, and user-friendly interface, this software has become a preferred choice for our in-house engineers and many developers in the community.

Overview of the ATK-XCOM V3.0 serial port debugging tool's main interface, showing areas for port settings, data display, and core functions.

Core Features at a Glance

  • Comprehensive Serial Configuration: Supports an ultra-wide range of baud rates, custom data/stop bits, and various parity modes.
  • Flexible Data Transmission: Supports sending and receiving in text/hexadecimal formats, single-line, multi-line, and timed sending.
  • Powerful Protocol Transfer: Features a built-in Modbus RTU-like protocol mode with auto-retry and multiple checksum options for reliable frame-based testing.
  • File Transfer Capability: Supports direct file sending, which is especially useful for firmware updates (IAP) and other bulk data scenarios.

Detailed Feature Overview

1. Serial Port & Display Settings

The software automatically detects and lists available serial ports upon launch. You can configure the following:

  • Baud Rate: Supports a wide range from 1200bps to 1382400bps and allows custom input.
  • Data Format: Flexibly configure data bits (5/6/7/8), stop bits (1/1.5/2), and parity (Odd/Even/None).
  • Display: Supports hexadecimal (Hex) view, timestamps (requires CRLF for frame breaks), and a light/dark theme.
  • Flow Control: Allows manual control of RTS and DTR signal outputs.

2. Data Sending Functions

  • Single-Line Send: Supports Text and Hex modes. In Hex mode, spaces between bytes are optional. Options for appending a new line (CRLF) and timed, repeated sending are available.
  • Multi-Line Send: Supports up to four pages of predefined commands, ideal for debugging devices with AT command sets. Can be linked to the numeric keypad for quick sending.

  • File Send: Transmit any file format directly, with a real-time progress bar and the ability to abort at any time.

3. Protocol Transfer (Advanced Feature)

This feature utilizes a Send-Ack, half-duplex protocol similar to Modbus RTU. It includes a flexible auto-retry mechanism and supports multiple high-efficiency checksums (Sum, XOR, CRC8, CRC16), ensuring reliable data transmission for critical tasks like IAP firmware upgrades.
